March 25, 2009 Hi Friends This
past week we have been very busy unpacking cartons and packing crates
filled with wonderful new accents for the home. New art lines I found
while at market in January have finally arrived. It's hard to pick a
favorite. From the contemporary designs that include the sophisticated
look of metal or textured metals to the soft contemporary feel of the
layered and mixed media pieces, you are sure to find something new to
spice up that wall or mantel for spring.
A great
grouping of giclées that have a colorful and edgy Bohemian/Urban feel
have been flying out the door. The style is eclectic and fresh to
reflect your persona, of course one of my fav's of the new things
in. Local artist, Daun Talbott has been added to the
gallery. Her photography has a inventive twist, using architecture and
nature to create letters that when framed together spell out feelings
of Hope, Joy, Family, and Dreams. Making a great gift for anyone and
any age. Custom words can be ordered, great gifts for baby and
weddings. Local artist, Jean Sandrock, who is a
former Middleton School District art teacher, has her line of ink
drawings and collage work at the shop. She represents the nature of
Wisconsin with her note cards depicting state flowers and local icons
including the Union Terrace. Wisconsin artist,
Christine Wolf, is a whiz with the torch and welder. New in the
gallery, her rusted steel sculptures are incredible. Cattails and
herons, zinnias and suns, she depicts nature at its finest and gives us
objects that will enhance our garden and home. Several
more market orders are gracing our doors daily. A sampling of what we
have coming includes four new handbag lines. Chic styles, trendy, and
most important – functional. Add to that jewelry. Imagine layers.
Imagine layering existing chains and pendants with more chains or
baubles and chunky beads. Layers. Chunky. It's hot and very in. I have
been doing that for years because I often cannot commit to one necklace
out of my jewelry armoire. I like all of my jewelry and love
accessorizing with it. You have been asking for
throw pillows because unusual pillows are so hard to find. Take a peek
at our new selection, the colors and styles will add punch to your
existing décor. There is much more in store for this year. The
latest trends include crosses, peace signs, Ed Hardy, and more. We have
a touch of all of it to keep La Bella Vita the classiest and most
forward fashioned home & gift store in the Madison area. Check our shopping site often to get a peek at our newest and latest selection, and read our blog to find out what has just arrived. Watch for our upcoming spring events. See our event page
for the latest, including a Middleton Easter Egg Hunt, April 11 at
Firemen’s Park and the Camp Shalom Fundraising Home Shopping Event on
April 19th, which helps to provide scholarship money for children to
attend Camp Shalom here in Madison. See our event page for details. Enjoy the good life! Yvette

What's new?
So much to tell you about and so little space to
do it in.
Let's talk holiday decor. The shop is overflowing
with beautiful
holiday centerpieces, swags, and wreaths. We have trees adorned with
gemmed ornaments and sparkling baubles that make great little gifts and
can be compliments to the decoration you might already own for your
tree. Crystal-clear contemporary deer, lit beaded cone trees, blown
glass delicate birds, Austrian candles, stocking holders, and precious
origami porcelain ornaments are just of few of the exclusive finds we
have to offer.
The jewelry cases have a mixture of sparkle and
warmth. Incredible
carved pieces handmade in Western Europe from various wood and Balkan
amber are like nothing I have seen before. The talented Sophia Forero,
Chicago shows the influences of her recent trips to India and Haiti,
designing sophisticated ethnic pieces adorned with chunky crystals and
pearls, see our feature of her work in the upcoming issue of Madison
Magazine.
Middleton is the featured spot for Dane Buy Local
Member Breakfast
and I have been invited to speak at this inspiring event, November
18th. I am excited to reinforce the importance of buying local and
supporting local businesses and the advantages that it holds for
everyone. See the Dane
Buy Local website for details.
The holiday season is fast approaching and we have
several fun dates
to mark you calendar with. Light the Night, Gallery Night &
Tree
Lighting is November 20th. Stroll downtown shops & restaurants
supporting the local businesses and talent and see all that we have to
offer for your upcoming gift giving needs.
Our Holiday Open House is November 21 - 23rd. Sip,
nibble, and shop.
Sign up for chances to win our fantastic prizes. Here is your
opportunity to purchase the 2009 Kid's Art Calendar as we are donating
all proceeds from the weekend sale to the American Family Children's
Hospital.
Don't forget that I offer holiday decorating
services. Call me and
ask for details about how I can make your house a showplace. I look at
the existing items and give them new life and a new twist. It's an
affordable way to get a new look with the old, and more importantly -
it's GREEN!
We will be again hosting our exclusive Shopping
Parties in November
and December. Many took advantage of this opportunity to get their
shopping done during the lunch hour (we provide the food), get a
discount (which everybody loves), get those gifts wrapped
(complimentary of course), all in an hour (who doesn't love
multi-tasking!). Call today to arrange your party - 831.3303.
In closing, I want to thank all of you for seeing
us through our
third year at La Bella Vita. We appreciate your friendship and your
business. We hope you will find a moment to stop in and see what's new.
The product is changing on a daily basis so it is fun to explore! Take
a moment to check out our event dates and mark your calendar.
Enjoy the art of the good life!
